KCB Bank Pumps KSh 227 Million into Safari Rally — Business Meets Global Sport

In early 2026, KCB Group reaffirmed its role not just as a financial powerhouse, but as a corporate supporter of national and international events by investing KSh 227 million into the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally Kenya — one of the most iconic motorsport events on the global calendar.

The sponsorship package is part of KCB’s long-term engagement with the rally, stretching back to its return to Kenya in 2021. Of the investment, KSh 100 million was earmarked to support the organising body of the event, while another KSh 28.5 million supported a group of elite drivers from Kenya and neighbouring countries. The remaining funds support marketing, fan engagement and community experiences during the multi-day competition.

KCB’s involvement illustrates how corporate partnerships can drive economic opportunities beyond finance — including tourism, local vendor activity along event routes, and regional brand exposure. Experts note that such strategic sponsorships deliver returns in visibility and brand equity, while helping position Kenya’s corporate sector at the intersection of sport, culture and economic development.

Beyond rally sponsorships, KCB continues to grow its footprint through sports-linked economic initiatives, reinforcing its role as a corporate icon that blends business performance with national impact.
